THIÈS : 169 kg de chanvre indien saisis par la police
The Thiès Regional Narcotics Brigade, under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), achieved a major success in the town of Mbodiène (Mbour). On January 9, 2026, they seized a significant quantity of 169 kg of cannabis.
According to the police, this operation was carried out during a security patrol conducted by the Mbour anti-corruption unit. The illicit product was packaged in six (06) parcels, transported on a cart.
The couriers managed to escape, but the police are continuing their investigations to identify and arrest the owners and couriers of this fraudulent merchandise.
