Thiès : un gérant d'une boulangerie mortellement percuté par un véhicule
The Mbour 3 district of Thiès experienced a tragic evening on Friday with the fatal death of Pape, a bakery manager around 45 years old. He was struck and killed by a vehicle on the two lanes leading to the highway.
According to witnesses, the victim had left the bakery and crossed the two lanes to take care of some business. It was while returning to the bakery that a car traveling at high speed struck him and dragged him for several meters. Witnesses say the victim, Pape, died instantly.
Alerted, police and firefighters arrived at the scene. After the usual procedures, the body was taken to the morgue at the Thiès Regional Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken into custody.
Residents of Mbour 3 have reported several accidents on this road. They are therefore asking the authorities to install speed bumps to prevent accidents.
