IHPC avril 2026 : L’ANSD dévoile une baisse mensuelle, mais une inflation persistante
The ANSD has published the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP). The results show that in April 2026, consumer prices fell by 0.5% compared to March 2026.

This decline is mainly due to the fall in prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.2%), housing, water, electricity, gas (-0.7%) and, to a lesser extent, restaurants and accommodation services (-0.1%).
Among the products concerned, we note in particular the decrease in chilled or frozen fish (-6.1%), pulses (-7.2%) and fresh tropical fruits (-11.4%).
Over the year, however, prices remain up 1.4% compared to April 2025. Underlying inflation is rising by 2.1%.
