Les eurobonds sénégalais flambent : L'annonce du FMI redonne confiance aux marchés !
Senegal's dollar-denominated bonds recorded their strongest gain since July, following the start of talks between the country and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on a new program. On Wednesday in London, Eurobonds maturing in 2031 jumped 2.41 cents to 81.4 cents on the dollar, bringing their yield down to 12.59%.
IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva confirmed on X that discussions with Finance and Budget Minister Cheikh DIBA have begun, aimed at promoting stability and inclusive growth.
These talks come after the suspension, nearly a year ago, of a $1.8 billion loan following the discovery of approximately $7 billion in undisclosed debt. The intensification of negotiations, announced by Ms. Georgieva, is a strong signal to investors.
