Ministère de la Communication : Le budget 2026 adopté
The 2026 budget proposal for the Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications, and Digital Affairs was adopted this Thursday in a plenary session of the National Assembly. Of the 165 registered members of parliament, 135 participated in the vote, including 11 by proxy. Among them, 132 voted in favor, one voted against, and two abstained.
For the 2026 financial year, the ministry's budget is set at 85,157,322,407 FCFA in commitment authorizations (AE) and at 81,063,116,254 FCFA in payment appropriations (CP).
These resources are intended to strengthen governance of the sector, support the transformation of the communications ecosystem, and accelerate the development of digital sovereignty and the digital economy. The funding is allocated across several major programs.
Programme 1, which concerns Steering, coordination and administrative management, benefits from an envelope of 633,143,691 FCFA in AE and CP.
Programme 2, which concerns the Transformation of the communication ecosystem, receives 13,577,328,362 FCFA in AE and 13,527,328,362 FCFA in CP.
Programme 3: Digital Governance and Sovereignty has a budget of 37,776,322,144 FCFA in AE and 33,791,015,991 FCFA in CP.
