Prévisions budgétaires : 363,9 milliards de moins pour 2026-2028
The Senegalese government has adjusted its budget forecasts for the 2026-2028 period, according to a press release published this Friday. Resources are now estimated at 16,638.7 billion CFA francs, while expenses amount to 19,364.4 billion CFA francs, reflecting a more constrained economic situation. Compared to the updated Multi-Year Budgetary and Economic Programming Document (DPBEP) of October 2024, resources fall by 363.9 billion CFA francs (-2.1%), while expenses decrease by 999.9 billion CFA francs (-4.9%), from 20,364.3 to 19,364.4 billion CFA francs.
This revision is explained by an anticipated decline in internal and external revenue. For 2026, the first year of the three-year budget, expenditure is projected at 6,213.1 billion CFA francs, compared to 6,580.2 billion in the 2025 Amending Finance Law (LFR), a reduction of 367.1 billion CFA francs (-5.6%).
This strategy aims to better control public spending in the face of limited budgetary resources.
