Affrontements étudiants-FDS dans les universités : Amnesty International hausse le ton
The executive director of Amnesty International/Senegal did not mince words in denouncing the management of student grants. "The State must refuse to believe that violence surrounding grants is normal," Seydi Gassama insisted in an interview with RTS.
According to the human rights advocate, student grants are budgeted like civil servants' salaries. Therefore, he says, if salaries are paid, grants should also be paid. He then calls on the state to do everything possible to maintain peace on university campuses.
