La Fondation du Port Autonome de Dakar célèbre les Premiers Prix et offre une bourse de trois ans à Pape Nantago Mbaye
This Thursday, August 21, 2025, the President of the Dakar Port Authority Foundation, Mr. Waly Diouf BODIANG, presented the prizes to the winners of the 2025 General Competition, in particular those who obtained a First Prize.
Presiding over the ceremony alongside the parents of students and the Representative of the Ministry of National Education, the President of the Dakar Port Authority Foundation, Mr. Waly Diouf BODIANG, congratulated and honored the winners of the 2025 General Competition for their excellent results. "Your work and perseverance are a true source of pride for the entire nation. The PAD Foundation has always worked for access to quality and inclusive education for all, which is why it has decided, as every year, to participate in the promotion of excellence, particularly with this general competition, by highlighting vulnerability and the gender approach. All the winners were awarded a prize of twenty million (20,000,000) francs, which demonstrates our commitment and our attachment to the values of excellence and success for the future generation," said the President of the PAD Foundation.
SPECIAL MENTION TO PAPE NANTAGO MBAYE AND PARENTS
The President of the Foundation wished to award a special mention to the student Pape Nantago Mbaye. Accompanied by his parents, he praised the perseverance, resilience and determination representing a true source of inspiration and motivation for the Senegalese people. President Waly Diouf BODIANG also praised the commitment of the parents "for the support and efforts made for the success of your children in line with the will of the State which would like all societies to invest more in the education of children for greater efficiency allowing the transition from an educational system to an educational society."
For seven years, the Dakar Port Authority Foundation has consistently reaffirmed its role as a civic actor in favor of academic excellence and the construction of inclusive and quality education.
WINNERS AWARDED BY THE FOUNDATION
-Mr. Ahmet Babou, best student in the Concours Général, gold medalist in Botswana, check for 750,000 francs
-Mr. Abdoulaye Kébé, best student in the final year of the General Competition, check for 750,000 francs
-Ms. Mame Anta Bousso 2nd Prize Islamic Studies, a three-year scholarship
-Ms. Sokhna Diakhaté 3rd prize in Life and Earth Sciences (1st and 2nd prizes not awarded), a three-year scholarship
-Mr. Pape Nantago Mbaye, Winner of the Special Prize of the President of the Republic, a three-year scholarship.

POUR ÇA, J'ADHÈRE TOTALEMENT
Quand le port autonome finance gamou et magal, je crie au scandale. Quand il permet aux jeunes espoirs du pays de bien se former pour servir, j'applaudis des deux mains et même des deux pieds. Pour cette démarche, j'adhère totalement car le port autonome c'est aussi l'état du Sénégal et dans le cas d'espèce, il est vraiment dans les prérogatives de l'état du Sénégal.
L'infâme, le malappris, le sacripant...
Ce jeune il faut lui trouver une école spécialisée dans le monde ! Ensuite lui trouver un boulot assuré après ses études. Il est plus méritant que quiconque.
Il n’a pas besoin d’être dans une structure spécialisée. Il a juste besoin d’un matériel adapté à son handicap pour écrie et prendre des notes. Un ordinateur avec un stylet tactile peut suffire. On a vu des tétraplégiques se servir d’un ordinateur avec un stylet dans la bouche pour écrire. Ce jeune me fait penser à un grand médecin que j’ai vu exercer dans les années 60, 70. Il avait les membres supérieurs quasi pareils et se déplaçait plus difficilement que le minot. Cela ne l’a pas empêché d’être un excellent toubib. Que l’on ne se dépêche pas de le fourguer dans une formation courte par défaut. Laissez-le choisir sa voie et aidez-le simplement financièrement et matériellement.
