Préavis de grève dans l’éducation : Le SADEF annonce un 7e plan d’action les 25 et 26 février
The social climate remains tense in the education sector. The Autonomous Union for the Development of Education and Training (SADEF) has announced a 7th action plan including a two-hour work stoppage on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, starting at 9 a.m., followed by a total strike on Thursday, February 26, 2026, across the entire country.
In a press release, the union called on the government to provide urgent responses to several demands deemed priorities by decision-making teachers.
Administrative and social demands at the heart of the movement
SADEF demands in particular the diligent application of decrees 2026-65 and 2026-66 of January 27, 2026 relating to the status of decision-makers; the extension of the retirement age to 65 years as well as the revision and raising of retirement pensions for this category of teachers.
Other points raised include the budget allocation of decision-making teachers who have retired, the end of administrative delays, and the publication of final admission decrees for CEAP and CAP.
SADEF also demands the granting of allowances to EFA teachers, the cessation of the surtax applied to salary arrears, as well as the allocation of a special remoteness allowance for teachers serving in remote areas.
Administrative support and career management
The union also insists on the regularization of the hardship allowance for CTP directors and on the reopening of the NI competition, considered essential for the professional advancement of teachers.
Through this new action plan, SADEF calls on the authorities to accelerate the processing of administrative files in order to avoid a deterioration of the social climate in the education sector.
This movement comes at a time when several trade unions are increasing their demands for better recognition of the status and working conditions of teachers.
If no concrete progress is made, the union does not rule out further hardening its stance in the coming weeks.
