Recrutement d’universitaires sénégalais : la leçon du Premier ministre guinéen à Dakar
The recent recruitment of Senegalese teaching and research staff to Guinean universities sparked outrage in Senegal. The Minister of Education had requested explanations from the university rectors involved and recommended that sanctions be imposed if necessary. Responding to this affair, Guinean Prime Minister Bah Oury sought to defuse the situation. "I know that some believe we want to drain the brains of other countries, but on the contrary, we are in reality one country," the Guinean head of government stated, as reported by Walfadjri. He suggested that this event, instead of creating tension between the two countries, should contribute to bringing them closer together. "This is what will allow us to strengthen our commitment to building this integration through the development of human capital in general."
