Sédhiou : Le G7 dénonce des « ponctions provocatrices » et menace de paralyser le système
Tensions are escalating between teachers' unions and the government. Abdoulaye Diallo, regional coordinator of the G7 in Sédhiou, condemned the recent deductions made from the salaries of striking teachers. According to him, these measures are not simply the application of the law, but amount to a blatant provocation aimed at intimidating the teaching profession.
The union leader also criticized the Prime Minister's stance, who recently asserted that the State "will stand firm." According to Diallo, the head of government has effectively broken off dialogue. Far from backing down, the G7 coordinator warned that if the State chooses confrontation, it will find itself facing teachers who are more than determined.
Even better, Abdoulaye Diallo does not rule out an escalation of the struggle. He announces that teachers will not simply stand by, but intend to join forces with other sectors to create a common front in order to compel the State to honor its promises and restore a peaceful social climate.
