Students from Mamadou and Bineta school carried out an educational visit to the General Directorate of the National Police (DGPN), as part of the EDUPOLSEN project.

Upon their arrival, they were greeted by Police Lieutenant Tahirou Sarr, who presented them with the missions and operation of the national police.

The students then visited the various departments, including the operations room, where they were given explanations about the coordination and security systems in place.

Curious and attentive, the students asked several questions, particularly about road safety and video surveillance. Impressed by the technical and organizational resources deployed, some even expressed a desire to pursue a career in the police force.

Police Inspector General Mame Seydou Ndour, Director General of the National Police, joined the meeting a little later.

Upon his arrival, the students sang the national anthem as a sign of respect. He then addressed the students, praising their dedication before engaging in a discussion about the flag, the motto of Senegal, and the missions, insignia, and civic values of the police.

Marie Justine Djogo, representing the school, thanked the DGPN for the warm welcome and the quality of the discussions. She expressed her desire to strengthen this collaboration through further visits, particularly to the Training Directorate and the Dakar Operational Group.

The visit concluded with the presentation of a symbolic gift to the establishment and a family photo.

This activity is part of the EDUPOLSEN project, a scheme aimed at bringing the police closer to schools, strengthening ties with the population, raising awareness of the institution among young people and developing their civic and citizenship culture.
