Kolda : M. Baldé interpellé avec 2,5 kg de chanvre indien, ses complices en fuite
The Kolda central police station's investigation unit arrested Mr. Baldé, 26, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in possession of 2.5 kg of marijuana. His two accomplices fled. The seizure was the result of acting on information regarding significant drug trafficking in the Saré Kémo neighborhood.
The detectives set up a surveillance operation. Around noon, near the rice factory, they spotted three individuals acting suspiciously with two motorcycles. As the police approached, they fled. Only Mr. Baldé was apprehended. A search of the premises yielded 2.5 kg of cannabis packaged in a bag, as well as 19 small packets in a blue bag. The two motorcycles were also seized.
When questioned, the suspect denied the charges of conspiracy and marijuana trafficking. He was taken into custody. The prosecutor has been informed, and the investigation continues to locate the two accomplices who are still at large.
