Affaire Waly Seck : toute l’histoire de la Rolls Royce vendue à Amadou Sall
The senior judge charged Waly Seck with criminal conspiracy and money laundering. The investigating magistrate granted the singer provisional release after he posted bail of 210 million CFA francs. Previously, the artist was questioned by the DIC, which is tasked with shedding light on a financial transaction he concluded with Amadou Sall, son of former President Macky Sall. The transaction was traced by the CENTIF.
In front of investigators, reports Le Témoin, Waly Seck admitted to having cashed the amount in question, by check from NSIA Bank issued by Woodrose Investment, a company attributed to Amadou Sall. He specified, according to the newspaper, that this was the proceeds from the sale of a Rolls Royce he had acquired in the United States.
"He thus provided investigators with the vehicle's consumption certificate, foreign registration document, customs declaration, and purchase invoice," the same source reported. Waly Seck also stated and provided proof that he cleared the vehicle through customs for 40 million CFA francs.
Before handing the car over to Amadou Sall in April 2023, Le Témoin reports, the singer used it for more than a year.
Regarding the transfer, Waly Seck stated, according to the daily newspaper, that it was the responsibility of the new buyer and that he does not know under whose name the formality was completed.
