Blanchiment présumé : Aliou Sall et son épouse risquent l’inculpation malgré leur caution
Prosecuted for money laundering and criminal conspiracy, the former director general of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), Aliou Sall, and his wife, Aïssata Sall, have offered bail of 240 million CFA francs to avoid a custodial order. The Panel of Judges of the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF) will rule on this request next Monday.
Probable indictment and judicial review
Despite this offer, the couple categorically rejects the accusations against them. Their lawyer, El Hadj Diouf, maintains that the financial transactions targeted by Centif, as part of a real estate project financed by Coris Bank, are perfectly legal and transparent.
However, according to L'Observateur, which cites sources close to the investigation, there is a strong likelihood that Aliou Sall and his wife will be charged and placed under judicial supervision, with a ban on leaving the country.
While awaiting the judge's decision on Monday, Mr. Diouf denounced the couple's continued custody over the weekend, which he described as "unnecessary humiliation."
