Affaire Lat Diop : le parquet se pourvoit en Cassation et ...
The Attorney General's Office has put its money where its mouth is. In its Friday edition, Libération reports that it has filed an appeal against the decision of the Financial Indictment Chamber granting former minister and director general of Lonase, Lat Diop, provisional release under house arrest and the wearing of an electronic bracelet.
At the same time, the same source indicates, the financial prosecutor's office has sent a supplementary indictment to the president of the College of Investigating Judges in order to request a second indictment of the leader of the Alliance for the Republic (APR, former ruling party).
This initiative follows an accounting report ordered on March 13, the newspaper specifies.
Libération explains that the expert's mission was to analyze Lat Diop's personal banking flows, as well as certain Lonase transactions between 2020 and 2023, in order to verify the origin of the funds, detect any atypical movements and monitor the regularity of public spending exceeding 10 million CFA francs.
