Pédophilie, homos, VIH… : cinq choses à savoir sur l’affaire Pierre Robert
This case is separate from the one involving, among others, the television presenter and singer Djiby Dramé. Investigated from France, it led to the arrest of twelve people in Senegal. A recap from Libération and L'Observateur.
1. Pierre Robert
He is suspected of being the mastermind of a child pornography ring in which underage boys were exploited for sexual purposes. Operating from France, he conducted his activities in Senegal, Morocco, and Mali. He was arrested in April 2025 in Beauvais, his home country. He gave instructions to his Senegalese contacts who, in return, received regular money transfers. During his interrogation by French investigators, he remained silent. His compatriots and co-defendants, L. Cave and A. Bastard, also arrested in April, admitted to belonging to his network, which they call the "Circle of Homosexuals."
2. Two hundred victims
Pierre Robert's network includes at least 200 victims, including underage boys. Recruited by "young adults," these children underwent "sex training" before being reduced to sexual objects, forced into unprotected sexual relations with men, most of whom were HIV-positive.
3. Judicial delegation
The Paris prosecutor's office took over the case after the Beauvais prosecutor's office was removed due to its transnational nature. As part of judicial cooperation between the two countries, a letter of request was sent to Senegal. Consequently, two investigating judges, two court clerks, and ten judicial police officers traveled to Dakar to support the Senegalese investigators.
4. Arrests in Senegal
As part of the execution of the rogatory commission sent by French judge Margaux Pegis, in charge of the Pierre Robert case, fourteen people were arrested in Senegal. They were brought before the Dakar prosecutor's office on charges of organized pedophilia, pimping, rape of minors under the age of 15, sodomy, and intentional transmission of HIV/AIDS.
5. Fifty-two thousand files
In addition to the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division), the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC) is participating, on the Senegalese side, in the investigation into the Pierre Robert case, which is being conducted from France. This police unit is currently sifting through 52,000 files found in France relating to Pierre Robert and his two French accomplices. Among these files are videos taken from a camera placed by Robert at the home of one of his Senegalese contacts, Ameth L. According to A. Bastard, who provided the information, this device allowed him to monitor Ameth L.'s sexual encounters with other men.
