Abdoulaye Wilane fustige la “prolongation du tera-meeting ” et appelle à une “nouvelle dynamique d’espoir”
The spokesperson for the Socialist Party and president of the Kaffrine departmental council, Abdoulaye Wilane, has stepped up to denounce what he calls an "extension of power" orchestrated by the presidential duo.
Reacting to the national political situation, Mr. Wilane believes that "the continuation of power is a contest between the two twins at the top of the state." A clear allusion to Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko, whom he considers two sides of the same coin: "Sonko is Diomaye, Diomaye is Sonko," he declared.
Continuing in a critical tone, Abdoulaye Wilane deplores the duo's inability to govern the country effectively: "If, in the face of reality and the exercise of power, this duo has proven incapable and today they want to spend their time at the head of the country fighting, healing themselves, settling scores and imposing petty squabbles on the Senegalese people, then a sense of responsibility compels us to tell them that's enough."
According to the Socialist leader, Senegal needs leaders “capable of effectively and courageously addressing the country’s real problems.” He called for putting aside internal divisions to focus on priorities. “This is not the time for self-indulgence or settling scores. It is rather a time for energetic, clear-sighted, and effective mobilization in the face of the difficulties Senegalese people are facing: the high cost of living, the injustices, and the daily suffering they themselves have helped to create and are unable to resolve.”
For Abdoulaye Vilane, it is time to act. "It is not a question of remaining indifferent or sitting idly by, but of joining forces in an organized manner to offer the Senegalese people a new political platform, one that carries a dynamic of hope and is capable of putting the Republic back on track."
