Affaire Salimata Dieng : une députée Pastef dénonce « une sanction disproportionnée »
Following the dismissal of Salimata Dieng, former mission officer at the Palace and deputy general secretary of the JPS, Pastef MP Fatou Cissé Goudiaby publicly defended her on Facebook, criticizing the Presidency for the severity of the sanction.
Replied by Source A, the parliamentarian called the presidential institution to order, considering that dismissal, which should only occur as a last resort and only in cases of serious or gross misconduct, was disproportionate in view of the facts alleged.
A sanction deemed excessive
Fatou Cissé Goudiaby suggested that the breach of loyalty, if proven, could have been subject to more pedagogical disciplinary measures: "The reason for the breach of loyalty, mentioned in this case (if such are the facts), could have been replaced by a reminder, a warning or even a suspension of a few days."
The MP concluded her message by expressing strong support for her party comrade: “Courage, patriotic sister.”
