APR : Abdou Mbow remobilise les troupes à Yaoundé
On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, officials and activists of the Alliance for the Republic (APR) in Yaoundé called up the troops to welcome the Honorable Member of Parliament Abdou Mbow, who was visiting Cameroon, to the "city of seven hills".
At a general assembly held at the Albatros Hotel in Yaoundé, activists of the beige-brown party reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying mobilization efforts and structuring the opposition in order to continue winning upcoming elections. Central Africa has historically remained loyal to the APR. In the last legislative elections, despite Pastef's electoral sweep both nationally and internationally, this part of the continent remained in the hands of supporters of former President Macky Sall.
Abdou Mbow criticizes the "groping" of the new regime
In his address, the president of the opposition parliamentary group, Abdou Mbow, reiterated what he called the new regime's "disregard" for Senegalese citizens living abroad. According to him, the current government is still floundering. "The two heads of the executive branch are engaged in a war that doesn't concern the Senegalese people," he declared to the activists.
The APR official concluded his speech by calling on his comrades to mobilize massively and to sustainably structure the party in order to punish, through the ballot box, what he designates as "an incompetent power" during the 2029 presidential election.
