APR : Oumar Sow charge Thérèse Faye et l’accuse de fragiliser le parti

Tensions are rising within the Alliance for the Republic (APR). Oumar Sow has strongly attacked Thérèse Faye, accusing her of having contributed to weakening the party of former president Macky Sall.

In a scathing attack, Oumar Sow believes that the one who once carried the slogan "Macky in our veins" now seems to have changed her political stance by switching to the strategy of "Macky behind us".

According to him, Thérèse Faye is now seeking to reposition herself politically. "Your schemes and political games have finally caught up with you. You are one of those who contributed to weakening and dividing our great party, the APR. Today, you are looking for excuses to play the victim and perhaps prepare for a future political defection," he confides.

The politician criticizes the former minister for her absence from the party's rebuilding initiatives after the loss of power. He specifically states that he never saw her involved in the party's reconstruction strategy or during mobilizations in support of detained activists and officials.

Oumar Sow also denounces what he considers to be an opportunistic attitude among certain political leaders who, according to him, distance themselves when interests change.

“I hate people who switch sides when their interests no longer align. Courage in politics means clearly standing by your choices and publicly stating when you no longer identify with a party,” he insists, lamenting that many political actors are now driven more by a logic of political survival and personal protection than by convictions. “I’m not accusing anyone directly, but I believe that in politics, you must always stand by your positions and actions,” Mr. Sow clarifies.

This latest development illustrates the internal tensions that have plagued the APR since the end of Macky Sall's presidency. Between repositioning, settling of scores, and suspicions of defections to other political parties, the former presidential party is still struggling to project a strong sense of unity.

Mais elle est libre de partir si elle le souhaite non? C’est quoi cette pensée unique typique du parti pastef. Si therese ne se voit plus dans l’apr, elle est libre de partir. Pourquoi s’en prendre à elle comme le fait le pastef.
