Assemblée nationale : Le successeur d'Amadou Ba officiellement installé
At the opening of the second extraordinary parliamentary session this Monday, the National Assembly installed the new deputy Amadou Mbaye Dia. He succeeds Amadou Ba, former representative of candidate Bassirou Diomaye Faye in the presidential election of March 24, 2024, appointed Minister of Culture, Crafts and Tourism on September 6.
During the session, the President of the National Assembly formalized this replacement. "I received the request to suspend the mandate of our colleague Amadou Ba, elected on the majority list of Pastef in Thiès, following his appointment as minister. I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to him for the confidence that the President of the Republic has kindly placed in him," he declared.
Mr. Ndiaye added: "In accordance with the provisions of our internal regulations and the Electoral Code, I invite Mr. Amadou Mbaye Dia, substitute on the same list, to now take his place in the hemicycle. Through me, the National Assembly welcomes you."
