Attacks on the Head of State: The CNRA reprimands MP Bara Ndiaye

Atteintes au Chef de l’État : Le CNRA rappelle à l’ordre le député Bara Ndiaye

The National Audiovisual Regulatory Council (CNRA) has broken its silence to reprimand MP Bara Ndiaye after his recent statements deemed "offensive" towards the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.

The CNRA Observation, following the "disrespectful, exceptionally violent" remarks made towards an Institution of the Republic, the President of the Republic, recently broadcast by WALF TV, has reacted.

“Walf TV, by serving as a platform for Mr. Cheikh Bara NDIAYE to make disrespectful and irreverent remarks towards the Head of State, has violated the regulations.

According to Article 56 of the law establishing the Press Code, freedom of the press is exercised in compliance with ethics, professional standards and the laws and regulations in force.

Article 12 of the specifications relating to the establishment and/or operation of a private commercial television service also states that: (...) In all its broadcasts, the Concessionaire must ensure that it does not (...) undermine the Institutions of the Republic (...)

The CNRA, in accordance with its mission to ensure respect for the institutions of the Republic in audiovisual content and, after deliberating in its session of November 26, 2025, orders WALF TV to ensure that content likely to undermine the respect due to the Institutions is no longer broadcast.

The National Audiovisual Regulatory Council calls on WALF TV to take the appropriate measures to comply with this observation.

Étant donné qu’il a tenu des propos offensants à l’endroit de Monsieur le Président de la République quelle doit être la réaction de Monsieur le procureur de la république ?

Cheikh Bara Ndiaye a dévoilé au sénégalais le plan de scinder en deux le parti PASTEF ,et l'ambition du candidat Diomaye Faye a se présente en 2029 en maintenant la coalition Diomaye Président !!!
