Ayib Daffé : “Macky Sall nous a bel et bien laissé une dette cachée”
Ayib Daffé, president of the PASTEF parliamentary group, has lifted a corner of the veil on the country's financial situation. A guest on iRadio's "Sunday Jury," he asserts that the new government has inherited a heavy budgetary liability, marked by hidden commitments and undeclared debts. Faced with this "hidden debt," he promises transparency, auditing, and truth. The Diomaye-Sonko tandem will use economic transparency as a weapon of sovereignty: "We prefer to tell the truth today, even if it is bitter, rather than lie to govern in illusion."
For Ayib Daffé, Senegal is now discovering the extent of an economic legacy undermined by opacity. “We have discovered debts incurred outside the budgetary framework, financial commitments made without complete traceability. This is what we call hidden debt,” he explains.
According to the MP, the Diomaye Faye government will not seek to hide the reality from citizens: “We owe the people the truth. Even if it is hard to hear, it is necessary to start afresh on a sound basis.”
Daffé points out that audits are underway to determine the country's true level of debt, including liabilities accumulated by certain public companies and autonomous institutions. "Transparency is not a political slogan. It's a moral imperative. Senegal must know where it stands before talking about recovery or new investments," the parliamentarian insists.
Asked about relations with the International Monetary Fund, he wanted to be reassuring: "We are not in a logic of sterile rupture, but of lucid negotiation. The IMF must understand that our priority is the recovery of the country according to our own choices of sovereignty."
Ayib Daffé believes that hidden debt is not just an accounting problem, but a symptom of an outdated mode of governance. “Under Macky Sall, the state often went into debt for projects that were unproductive or lacking transparency. We want to break with this logic of prestige at the expense of efficiency.”
The MP calls for a national mobilization around financial truth: “We will publish the figures, open the accounts, and restore confidence. Because without confidence, there is no development possible.”

Mieux encore le FMI vous a demandé les justificatifs de la dette cachée et jusqu’à présent vous ne pouvez pas produire les documents

Ensuite un autre rapport de la Cour des Comptes sur le même sujet. Comme si cela ne suffisait pas le Gouvernement a chargé un Cabinet international de lui faire un rapport sur la dette. Ça fait 3 rapport sur le même sujet de la dette
Mr Daffé nous annonce encore une étude sur la dette alors que les Sénégalais ne connaissent pas les conclusio des 3precedents rapport
Arrêtez de 'ous divertir et engagez enfin sur la résolution des problème du pays au lieu perdre votre temps à disserter sur la dette cachée . Si vous n'avez pas solutions aux problème du pays, rendez le pouvoir aux gens plus compétent

Le FMI attend toujours les preuves de la dette cachée mais ces gens là ne fourniront jamais de preuves.
