Babacar Mbengue : « Pourquoi je me suis séparé de Khalifa Sall »
The mayor of Hann-Bel-Air, Babacar Mbengue, has formalized his resignation from Taxawu Senegal, the political platform led by Khalifa Ababacar Sall, and explained the reasons for this separation in an interview with L'Observateur.
Regarding the reasons for the separation, he explained that the main reason for his departure was a personal disagreement with the leader of Taxawu Senegal. According to him, the loss of the City of Dakar on August 25th illustrates the decline and weakening of the movement.
His resignation, which came a month after this defeat, was carefully considered, both individually and with his base, the mayor emphasizes.
Babacar Mbengue concedes that it is "a painful break," especially "after years of political and personal companionship." He adds, however, that "politics sometimes requires moving forward."
Regarding his future projects, he says he is still "in the reflection phase" and has not yet decided to create a new movement or to approach other political entities.
As for a possible rapprochement with Pastef, he indicates that this "is not yet on the agenda."

Babacar tu gère une commune industrielle (plus de 30% des industries, une grande partie du port etc) sont dans ta commune mais malgré tous ces atouts tu n'a rien foutu avec combien de mandat ??? Yarakh tefess est tres conscient et prendront acte de tout ce que vous faites pour les maristes au détriment des lebbous ki t'ont porté a la tête de cette mairie (pavé, senelec, gendarmerie etc il ne reste qu'à transféré la mairie au mariste)...
Que les habitants des maristes s'impliquent et sortent de leur zone de confort !!!!!!
