Crise universitaire : Pape Djibril Fall fustige l'indifférence du duo Diomaye-Sonko
MP Pape Djibril Fall strongly criticized what he called the indifference of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko to the critical situation currently prevailing in Senegalese universities. With campuses experiencing clashes between students and security forces, the parliamentarian considers the government's political tour a blatant insult to the student population.
For Pape Djibril Fall, preserving students' social gains is an absolute priority that cannot be relegated to the back burner. He openly accuses the government of already looking ahead to the 2029 presidential election, disregarding current social emergencies. "Your obsession with 2029 at the expense of the people's concerns is despicable," he asserted, echoing the sentiments of many students who denounce this abandonment in favor of political maneuvering.
Addressing the head of state directly, the MP called for a paradigm shift: "For Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, we must stop thinking about the next election, but rather about the next generation!"
The Prime Minister was not spared from the political leader's virulent outburst either. Referring to Ousmane Sonko's future ambitions, Pape Djibril Fall was categorical: "Your political maneuvering and other backstabbing will not allow you to be a candidate in 2029. For goodness' sake, work and keep quiet!" This statement underscores a growing rift between a segment of the parliamentary opposition and the highest levels of government regarding the management of social crises.
