JAMRA dénonce les insultes sur la page Facebook de la présidence : "C'est une honte !"
The vice-president of the NGO JAMRA, Mame Makhtar Guèye, denounced the insults and offensive remarks flooding the official Facebook page of the Presidency of the Republic of Senegal. In his statement, he described as "a disgrace" and an "unacceptable affront to republican morality" this "avalanche of insults and profanities that these fanatics hurl day in and day out on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic of Senegal."
Mame Makhtar Guèye points out that this page constitutes the "digital showcase, par excellence, of the Senegalese Executive," accessible from any point on the global digital network, which has more than three billion Facebook users as of January 2025. He directly addresses "these lawless insulters who flout, day in and day out, the solemnity of this high institution," reminding them that the occupant of the palace, "even if temporary and impersonal, embodies, de facto and by right, the prestigious attributes" conferred by the Constitution, notably: keystone of the institutions, guardian of the Constitution, supreme commander of the armed forces, head of the High Council of the Judiciary, protector of the arts and letters.
The vice-president of JAMRA, highlighting the consequences of these excesses on the country's economic attractiveness, recalls that in the digital age and the "global village" - a concept of the Canadian philosopher Marshall McLuhan in his book "The Medium is the Massage" published in 1967 - "the first reflex of any investor preparing to seek economic partners in any country is to 'take the pulse' of their potential business destination by first consulting official state websites."
According to him, the presidential page has "ultimately been transformed into a digital battleground, where internet users compete in insults, sometimes reaching unimaginable peaks in terms of verbal violence."
Mame Makhtar Guèye insists on the institutional nature of the presidential function: "The mantle of the presidential institution worn by the current head of state, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, as did his four predecessors, is not his personal or family property."
He recalls the history of power transitions: "It is merely a (temporary) sovereign office entrusted to him by universal suffrage and thus considered an asset of the Republic." The JAMRA representative cites previous presidents to illustrate his point: "Senghor did not take it with him to his native Joal on the evening of December 31, 1981. Abdou Diouf did not take it with him to Louga on the evening of the first democratic transition of March 19, 2000. Abdoulaye Wade did not take it with him to Kébémer after losing power on March 25, 2012. Macky Sall, too, did not 'offer' this prestigious institutional mantle to his family in Fatick after the third transition of March 24, 2024." And that "the current tenant of the presidential palace, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, will not deviate from the rule by taking this mantle to Diaganiao. None of these ephemeral human incarnations of the presidential institution is its true owner!"
The vice-president of JAMRA made a solemn appeal: "So, bayiléén saaga yi, té respect suñuy institutions, qui n'belongent à personne!"
He also reveals that a "vast manhunt for these criminals, who cowardly hide behind their smartphones, has been launched by the competent authorities, with the cyber patrols of the DSC (Special Division of Cybercrime) at the forefront, to neutralize these digital criminals who shamelessly tarnish the image of our institutions, for political partisanship."
Mame Makhtar Guèye concludes with a warning: "IP addresses can easily be geolocated, so that everyone can face the consequences of their criminal acts before the prosecutor!"

Pourquoi Diomaye cherche t-il a handicaper Sonko et a recycler ceux que le peuple a rejete pour candidater en 2029 avec eux, quitte a humilier Pastef et tous ceux qui l'on mis au pouvoir pour un ideal precis?
Aujourd'hui, on voit une plethore d'opportunistes, de voleurs de deniers publiques qui craignent la reddition des comptes, de patrons de presses qui ne recoivent plus leurs part du butin comme durant le reigne de MAcky, de politiciens profitards, bref... une bande de predateurs avec qui Diomaye veut s'allier pour oublier pourquoi et comment il a ete elu.
Si Diomaye recoit aujourd'hui des insultes, il doit bien savoir pourquoi !!!
Aujourd'hui, meme sur sa page Facebook, il recoit des insultes et n'oserait point se promener dans les rues de Dakar.
Ceux qui ne sont pas hypocrites, tout comme lui-meme savent bien pourquoi....
Il n'a qu'a se ressaisir avant qu'il ne soit trop tard. Point barre.

Où se trouvent les modérateurs, ou à défaut, les agorithmes de protection et de censure automatiques ? Où est la cyberdéfense de la 1ére institution du pays?
