Justice et transparence : Aldiouma Sow détaille les axes majeurs de la rupture
Invited to the program "En Vérité" on Radio Senegal, Aldiouma Sow, Minister-Advisor to the President of the Republic, outlined the main directions of the new regime, determined to translate into action the break announced at the highest levels of the State. His remarks highlighted three essential pillars: justice, transparency, and the overhaul of public governance.
According to him, the break advocated by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye goes beyond a simple change of rhetoric. It reflects a clear commitment to a thorough reform of institutions, consistent with the promises made to the citizens. "The Head of State is fully exercising the prerogatives conferred upon him by the Constitution," he affirmed, emphasizing the need to restore trust between the State and the Senegalese people.
An independent and credible justice system
Among the priorities, Aldiouma Sow emphasized judicial reform, considered a central pillar of the rule of law. He advocated for a more independent, credible, and effective judicial system, capable of guaranteeing equality before the law for all and ending impunity.
Strengthened fight against corruption
Another key area of focus is strengthening the National Office for the Fight Against Fraud and Corruption (OFNAC). The revision of its legal framework aims to provide the institution with increased resources and expanded powers, in order to intensify the fight against corruption and the mismanagement of public resources.
Transparency and setting a good example
The expanded asset declaration requirements for public officials also constitute, according to the Minister-Advisor, a strong signal in favor of transparency and accountability. This measure aims to establish a new culture of governance based on exemplary conduct and responsibility.
Governance in line with citizens' expectations
Through these reforms, Aldiouma Sow believes that the government intends to break with previous practices and to place public action within a framework of justice and transparency, in accordance with the expectations expressed by voters during the last presidential election.
