Le FRAPP dénonce le « kidnapping » de Serigne Mbaye Diouf par la marine israélienne

The Front for an Anti-Imperialist, Popular and Pan-African Revolution (FRAPP) announced on Thursday, October 2, 2025, that its activist Serigne Mbaye Diouf, a volunteer on board the ship "Sirius" of the Global Summud Flotilla, was arrested at sea by the Israeli navy.

The flotilla, made up of citizens from more than 40 countries, was carrying baby milk and other supplies to help break the blockade on the Gaza Strip.

According to FRAPP, the Israeli intervention constitutes a "kidnapping" and a flagrant violation of international law.

In its statement, the movement denounced the silence and hypocrisy of governments, asserting that it is now the people who are taking the initiative to break the blockade. "It is because states are not up to the task that citizens from all walks of life are taking to the sea to break the wall of hunger and death in Gaza," wrote the National Executive Secretariat of FRAPP.

The movement demands the immediate and unconditional release of Serigne Mbaye Diouf and calls on the State of Senegal to sever diplomatic relations with Israel, following the example of Colombia, which recently expelled the Israeli delegation from its territory.

Despite the interception of the "Sirius", FRAPP assures that some boats in the flotilla are continuing their journey to Gaza, "at the cost of their lives and freedom", to deliver humanitarian aid.

"Their courage is that of peoples around the world who reject injustice and barbaric imperialism," the statement emphasizes, concluding with a call for national mobilization. "The Senegalese people will not remain spectators. Long live the Palestinian resistance! Long live the liberation struggles of the people."

Khana il n y a pas de ministre des affaires étrangères ? L'ex ministre etait plus réactive Il faut que l'Etat du Sénégal exige la libération immédiate de Serigne Mbaye Diouf sinon rompre les relations diplomatiques avec Israël. D'ailleurs je ne comprends toujours pas comment on peut maintenir des relations avec !
