Le parti AWALE salue la réponse du président Diomaye face aux inondations
The AWALE party is in line with the measures taken by the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, to deal with flooding and protect coastal areas threatened by the advancing sea.
In a statement sent to Seneweb, the party welcomed the "immediate support measures for disaster victims" and the structural actions undertaken by the State, the rehousing plans underway in Saint-Louis, the sanitation programs launched in Dakar and Touba as well as the restructuring projects for the most vulnerable neighborhoods.
For the AWALE party, these initiatives reflect "a clear desire to provide sustainable and responsible responses that meet the legitimate expectations of the population. This is, in fact, what we expect from a President of the Republic concerned about the collective well-being and the protection of his people."
In the same vein, AWALE encourages the efforts of the Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation, inviting him to persevere in the implementation of these projects deemed strategic.
Finally, the party issued a solemn appeal for national solidarity, inviting Senegalese people to mobilize to support the government, assist those affected, and strengthen social cohesion in the face of climate change. Because "it is through unity and shared responsibility that we can build a safer future for our communities."
