Le président Diomaye Faye s'engage pour une inclusion totale des personnes handicapées au Sénégal
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, paid a vibrant tribute to this segment of the population and reaffirmed his firm commitment to their total socio-economic inclusion.
In a message filled with admiration and deep respect, the Head of State praised the dignity of their efforts, declaring: "Your daily courage, your tenacity in the face of obstacles, and the dignity with which you move forward are a life lesson for the entire nation."
President Faye then outlined the precise roadmap for his actions for the coming years, detailing what the "inclusive Senegal" he is committed to building actually means.
"The inclusive Senegal we are building together is a Senegal where everyone benefits from quality education, where access to employment is truly open, where entrepreneurial initiatives are supported and financed, where universal health coverage fully protects you, where the urban and social environment adapts to your needs, and where your families receive the support they deserve. I am fully committed to this," he said.
Beyond the State's personal commitment, the President made a solemn appeal to all stakeholders in the country. "I call upon the government, local authorities, families, and the entire national community to make the socio-economic inclusion of our citizens with disabilities a shared and ongoing priority."
The Head of State concluded his message by recalling: "Because a nation worthy of the name must offer everyone the opportunity to fulfill their potential, I will remain by your side to build a more just, more united and profoundly humane Senegal."
