Marie Rose Faye : « La transparence du gouvernement n’est pas une faiblesse, mais une force »
In a context marked by the downgrade of Senegal's sovereign rating by Moody's, the Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of Relations with Institutions, government spokesperson, Marie Rose Khady Fatou Faye, wanted to reaffirm the regime's position: transparency in public management is a strategic choice, not a sign of vulnerability.
A guest on the En Vérité program on RSI, the Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of Relations with Institutions, denounced what she describes as the relentlessness of the American rating agency.
"The government has opted for clarity and transparency with the audit of public finances. We accept this choice, even if some may see it as a punishment. What we are experiencing today is more akin to relentless persecution than an objective assessment," she said.
For her, this approach to budgetary truth embodies a strong commitment to good governance, sanitation and responsibility.
Marie-Rose Faye also highlighted the results of the Invest Senegal Forum, held in Dakar, which raised 13 trillion CFA francs. This record, hailed by economic observers, is a testament to the country's strength and the renewed confidence of international partners, she said.
"This success is the result of a clear vision and strong political stability. Senegal remains a center of attraction for investors," she emphasized.
Despite criticism, the government maintains its course of transparent and accountable governance. For Marie-Rose Faye, this stance reflects a clear-sighted and confident vision of the Senegalese state.
"It is a clear vision of the State that is emerging: that of a responsible Senegal, clear-eyed about its challenges, but confident in its strengths."

BON DIEU, on ne mobilise pas des fonds en organisant un FORUM sinon tous les pays en organiseraient chaque jour . Et puis cette édition est la deuxième, la première a été organisée par Macky en 2023 ; LE FII c'est juste une grande messe où certains viennent se reposer et bouffer aux frais de la PRINCESSE . Croire à ses promesses d'investissement c'est être un crétin ! Au fait , ces investisseurs avaient promis combien de milliers de milliards en 2023 ?
