"Notre ville est malade" : Kilifeu candidat à la Mairie de Kaolack
The 2027 local elections are already generating particular excitement in Kaolack, where candidates for mayor are multiplying. Among the contenders for the post of mayor of the capital of Saloum, there is now a well-known figure in the cultural and civic landscape: Landing Mbissane Seck, better known by his stage name, Kilifeu.
A committed rapper and currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grand Théâtre National Doudou Ndiaye Coumba Rose, Kilifeu aims to bring about the change that the people of Kaolack are calling for.
A harsh diagnosis: “Our city is sick”
Kilifeu, a founding member of the civic movement Y'en a marre (We've Had Enough), offers a harsh assessment of the city's current state. According to him, Kaolack, once the nerve center of the Senegalese economy and the capital of the peanut basin, is "moving backward" and is "poorly governed." He denounces the "professional politicians who have plunged Kaolack into the abyss."
"Kaolack is full of potential, but it remains a region that is moving backwards and poorly governed. Everything is a priority here, and that's what motivates our candidacy. We will seek the votes of the people of Kaolack to change the situation during these upcoming municipal elections," declared the rapper.
Kilifeu's entourage presents him as the ideal candidate to bring about the break, strong in his civic commitment. The artist, who says he is "in love with this locality," intends to invest "body and soul to reverse the trend" and restore it to its "former glory."
"We have the experience and expertise to get it out of this rut. To do this, we call for the mobilization of all its vital forces, without exclusion," he added, signaling his intention to unite around his candidacy and his project for the capital of Saloum.

ZERO chance. Senegal mo nekh! Pastef va avoir son candidat et Kilifeu n'est as de Pastef. Pastef KAolack avait deja mordu la language quand Sonko avait ouvert la voie a Serigne Mboup mais cette fois, Sonko ne va pas leur imposer un candidat qui n'est pas de Pastef.
Lol si vous avez une erreur jusqu'à choisir ce type comme Maire, il sera pire que Ameth Aidara qui passe tout son temps a faire une revue de presse.
Si tu aimais autant ton métier, il ne fallait choisir d'être élu comme Maire, je ne sais pas ce mec quand il travaille, il est le temps dans les plateaux télé. Puisque la plupart de la population est analphabète, c'est normal qu'ils élisent des maires cancres

Tu veux servir ton pays, on te fait Président de conseil d'administration mais ce n'est pas suffisant pour toi. Tu veux devenir maire.
Le comportement du Pastef au pouvoir reflète bien ce que disait un principe britannique :" Mieux vaut faire une chose idiote qu'on a l'habitude de faire que de faire une chose intelligente qu'on a jamais faite".
