Nouveau gouvernement : La pique de Guy Marius Sagna aux "traîtres"
The cabinet reshuffle has split Pastef. On one side are those loyal to Ousmane Sonko, who followed him and respected his instruction not to be included in the new government. On the other side are Pastef members who accepted ministerial positions alongside Diomaye Faye and his Prime Minister, El Aminou Lo.
In a social media post, Guy Marius Sagna takes aim, without naming them, at these dissidents. "The first thing a traitor who is aware of their treachery and wants to continue their betrayal does is: look for other traitors so as not to be alone, in order to 'legitimize' or 'normalize' the treason. 'Rome does not pay traitors' (Roma traditoribus non praemiat) is a famous ancient maxim meaning that treason is despised, even when it serves the interests of Rome," the MP wrote on Facebook.
.
"How far will this betrayal, this hold-up, this embezzlement against PASTEF and its voters go? Time will tell. Will Senegal pay the traitors? We will know in a few years. What am I saying, in a few months," adds the deputy, not without wishing good luck to this new government team, whom he will not fail to question on the orientations and actions.
