«Ousmane Sonko faisait des lives en cellule» (avocat de Farba Ngom)
In an interview with L'Observateur, Me Moussa Bocar Thiam, a member of Farba Ngom's legal team, strongly denounces the new procedure targeting his client, linked to the discovery of two phones in his cell, which he describes as "null and void".
An Assembly "in the pay" of the Executive
The lawyer, in his black robe, condemned the MPs' haste in lifting their colleague's parliamentary immunity. He denounced what he considered "the worst legislature, which will leave the Senegalese people with the image of MPs in the pay of an executive branch intent on assassinating parliamentary colleagues."
Denunciation of an "illegal" procedure
Thiam argues that the cell searches were invalid due to the lack of a warrant issued by the investigating judge and the absence of lawyers. He goes further, asserting that Farba Ngom was "kidnapped and taken into custody for questioning about the content of telephone conversations," a practice he considers "illegal."
"Double standards"
The lawyer downplays the confiscation of phones, claiming it's a common practice in prison. He cites the precedents of Karim Wade, Khalifa Sall, and Ousmane Sonko, noting that the latter "did live streams from his cell" without provoking such a frenzy.
"In practice, go and check the information, each cell has at least ten phones. Karim Wade, Khalifa Sall and Ousmane Sonko each had at least two phones," insists the source speaking to the Groupe Futurs Médias daily newspaper.
Attack against the Minister of Justice
The former minister, recently appointed Coordinator of the APR's spokesperson unit, is not sparing any criticism of the Minister of Justice, Yassine Fall. He accuses her of "legal illiteracy" and violating the separation of powers. Thiam announces a lawsuit for "malicious denunciation" and calls on the Medical Association to break its silence regarding the minister's questioning of medical assessments: "Defend your profession," he urges.

Il n'est pas courageux
Car sui je comprends bien il n’est pas au Sénégal, l’effectivité de l’exercice de la profession n’appelle aucune remarque à qui sert de bâtonnier au Sénégal ?
Quand on entend le raisonnement de ce type du genre la présomption de culpabilité on se demande d’où il a été formé ?

CONCRETEMENT : qu'à fait le client enkuleur de gamine miséreuse pour ce bled depuis que ces ânes sont aux manettes ?
Une affaire de téléphone en prison relève de l’administration pénitentiaire et doit se régler à l’intérieur de la prison, avec les responsables concernés.
On ne peut pas maintenir un homme en détention sans preuves solides. La justice doit rester juste et équitable.
