Ousmane Sonko « réconcilie » Anta Babacar Ngom et Alioune Dièye
After the heated exchange between MPs Alioune Dièye and Anta Babacar Ngom, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko intervened to calm tensions.
Addressing Alioune Dièye, he said: "You are my uncle, Alioune Dièye, but you have offended my other uncle who is Anta Babacar's father. We are in Ramadan, there is no need to raise tensions."
In response to Anta Babacar Ngom's question about the latter's presence in the country, he promised, in an ironic tone, to find him an audience with President Diomaye Faye.
When asked about his return from the Kingdom of Morocco without the Senegalese supporters detained there, Ousmane Sonko replied: "I think you overestimate my abilities. If everywhere I went I was able to bring our prisoners back to the country, that would be good."
