Palais : Les premières images de Sonko et Diomaye réunis, après le week-end mouvementé
Despite their recent escalating dispute, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko joined President Bassirou Diomaye Faye at the presidential palace on Tuesday. The purpose of the visit was to receive students from the Ndoude Ndiandiaye school in Ndiaganiao and those from the La Ronde des Petits Keur Aly et Amy school group in Bambilor.
The children, who came to discover this emblematic site of the Republic's institutions, delivered a message to the two heads of the executive branch. On this occasion, President Diomaye and the Prime Minister listened attentively during moments of discussion and conviviality, according to the presidency.
It also indicates that this initiative is part of a desire to open up the institutions of the Republic more to young people and to allow students to better understand the functioning of the State and the values of citizenship.
After listening to the students, President Diomaye commended the teachers for the guidance they provide. At the end of his speech, he took his leave and returned to his offices without the Prime Minister, who had gone his own way.
