Questions d’actualité : Le FDR dénonce une “comédie politique” annoncée à l’Assemblée nationale
On the eve of the question period scheduled for November 28, 2025, the Front for the Defense of Democracy and the Republic (FDR) criticizes this initiative of the government and offers its "total support to the opposition MPs" who refuse to endorse what it calls a "political farce".
In a statement released on Thursday, November 27, 2025, the FDR emphasizes that the session convened urgently "was never mentioned by the Council of Ministers, as is customary," a situation which, according to them, confirms that the government is trying to use the National Assembly to "organize, in the very chamber, the meeting of a faction of the ruling party," denouncing a new "outrage by the Prime Minister" and a repeated attack on the institutions.
Furthermore, the opposition movement is questioning the executive branch about the silence surrounding the ANSD's publication of the 2021 Rebasing Base report. The FDR (Rally of Democrats and Independents) notes "with astonishment the silence of the last Council of Ministers" regarding a document deemed essential for the national economy. The statement asserts that this report "deserves extensive discussion in the catastrophic economic and financial context currently facing Senegal" and calls on the government to justify "its surprising discretion."

L’assemblée nationale est une institution politique par essence, fuir les débats contradictoires c’est ne pas respecter ceux qui vous ont élu.
Allez faire votre travail au lieu de d’organiser des conférences de presse !
