Barely revealed, the reactions are pouring in. The cabinet reshuffle decided by the President and his Prime Minister has sparked strong reactions. In a post on his social media platforms, Thierno Bocoum, president of AGIR-Les Leaders, welcomes the arrival of new ministers but deplores the lack of government downsizing. He warns of a weakened justice system following the departure of Ousmane Diagne. Furthermore, he is critical of the appointment of Bamba Cissé to the Ministry of the Interior and sees these choices as a risk to democracy and the rule of law.

We take note of the cabinet reshuffle carried out by the President of the Republic on the proposal of the Prime Minister.
We congratulate and encourage the new ministers, while recalling that the regime has the right to evaluate itself and reorganize its team as many times as it deems necessary.
Beyond the movements of men and wallets, the Senegalese expect tangible results.
We regret that this reshuffle was not an opportunity to reduce the number of ministries. It was the moment to send a strong signal of sacrifice and sobriety, at a time when people are being asked to bear ever-increasing burdens.
On the contrary, it is once again the functioning of the State which is prioritized to the detriment of the daily lives of the Senegalese.
The resignation of Minister Abass Fall to remain at the head of Dakar's city hall also calls for reflection. It comes at a time when the Supreme Court is due to rule on September 18 on the prefect's action against Mayor Barthélémy Dias.
Anticipating a resignation before the verdict sends an ambiguous signal and exerts, in a veiled manner, unacceptable pressure on the justice system.
The departure of the Minister of Justice, Ousmane Diagne, cannot go unmentioned.
His dismissal, against a backdrop of repeated public pressure, raises fears of a desire to "break the lock" on an already weakened justice system, in order to put it more at the service of the partisan interests of the Prime Minister and his supporters.
Let us recall that, despite the flagrant injustices linked to the imprisonment of journalists, columnists and citizens, the latter had publicly regretted that there had not been even more incarcerations, going so far as to attribute responsibility to the President of the Republic.
Such an orientation would be intolerable.
The appointment of Maître Bamba Cissé to the Ministry of the Interior also raises deep concerns. While he certainly deserves credit for being part of a government, the vast majority of the political class has always wanted this position to be entrusted to a figure above the fray, capable of embodying absolute neutrality.
By choosing his own lawyer to occupy this sovereign ministry, the Prime Minister gives the impression of wanting to keep control over the organization of the elections and the policy of repression.
This choice blatantly contradicts the battles waged so far to protect certain areas of the State and reserve them for impartial management.
The Ministry of the Interior, guarantor of public freedoms and democratic regulation, cannot accept manifest partiality.
This reshuffle, which marks both the departure of Ousmane Diagne and the appointment of Maître Bamba Cissé to the Interior Ministry, concerns us greatly.
Instead of ushering in a new era of responsible governance, he is casting doubt on a political agenda that is dangerous for democracy, the rule of law and the freedom of the Senegalese people.

Déplorer l’absence de réduction du gouvernement, pointer du doigt des nominations, agiter le spectre d’une justice fragilisée… Très bien. Mais où sont les propositions ? Où est le projet ? Où est la vision politique capable de fédérer et d’inspirer ? On ne bâtit pas une démocratie sur des soupçons et des insinuations. On la renforce par des idées, des solutions et du courage politique.
La critique est utile quand elle éclaire. Mais quand elle devient un réflexe sans fondement, elle ne fait que masquer l’absence de cap.
La politique est un jeu qui se paie cash. Toi et Bart avez joue et perdu donc sawi leen te teudi.
Plus vous parlez, plus vous detruisez le peu de credibilite s ils vous en reste un tant soi peu.

Ne me taxez pas de Pastef car je ne le suis pas. Je suis seulement un Senegalais qui passe et qui a son mot a dire donc au suivant. Basta et vivement que quelqu un de plus competent. Finis l epoque des politiciens de carriere

* En 2019 le Ministre de l’intérieur était un allié de Macky et il avait déclaré publiquement que sa mission c’est la réélection de son candidat.
* En 2023 le Ministre de l’intérieur était un avocat, passé 1er ministre au dernier moment, quand Macky a voulu saborder son camp en mettant une personnalité neutre.
Donc si Thierno dit que le fait de mettre un ministre de l’intérieur de son camp est un recul, il doit préciser un recul par rapport à qui et à quand. Puisqu’il semble avoir hiberné durant les 12 ans de APR et même durant les 12 ans de PDS avec Maître Ousmane Ngom à l’intérieur pendant un moment.
Un pays ou on se débarrasse des hommes de valeurs, de compétence et de dignité comme Ousmane Diagne, le général tine .
Et ce pour des raisons obscurs.
Ce pays est presque dirigé par les réseaux sociaux, des personnes sans aucune valeur ajoutée pour le pays et qui passent leurs temps a dicté leurs lois.
C'est ça la vérité et c'est triste
Une fois de plus, Sonko nous avait promis une rupture. Ou' estce qu,elle est cette rupture dans ce qu,on voit sur le theatre des operations depuis qu,il est au pouvoir? President Sall est l,absent le plus present. Sonko nous avait fait croire qu,il n,avait pas besoin d,etat de grace, car il savait tout ce qui ne va pas et allait y remedier en 2 mois Ou' en est il avec cette loi d,amistie qui les ont fait sortir de prison et dont il ne " voulait" point? Ou' en est il avec la criminilisation de l,homosexualite' qu,il , avait promise de poser sur la table des son accession au pouvoir avec une majorite' a' l,assemblee nationale?
Encore, acceptons que ce systeme qu,on nous avait promis de combattre est toujours la' et que s,il vous plait Pastef ne vous refugiez pas derriere le President Sall pour masquer votre incompetence, votre incapacite' de tenir vos promesses. Le talentueux journaliste Ibou Fall l,a si bien dit: " ce ne sont que les privilegies qui ont change', mais pas les privileges "
