Restructuration de La Poste : le syndicat SYTPOSTE alerte le Premier ministre sur les risques sociaux
On the eve of the interministerial council meeting dedicated to the future of La Poste, the National Union of Postal Workers (SYTPOSTE) sent an open letter to the Prime Minister. In this letter, Secretary General Lamine Ndiaye urges the authorities to integrate the social dimension into the ongoing restructuring.
The union warns of the impact of a potential redundancy plan on the thousands of La Poste employees who provide public service under modest pay conditions, often below the national average. "The restructuring will inevitably lead to a redundancy plan that will affect many workers," warns SYTPOSTE.
To preserve the dignity and well-being of employees, the union is calling for appropriate support, including training, reassignment, and financial assistance for the most vulnerable. "We trust your sense of social justice and fairness," wrote Lamine Ndiaye, emphasizing that the success of the reform depends on taking workers' concerns into account.
SYTPOSTE says it is ready for dialogue and consultation to defend the rights and interests of its members, while advocating for a successful professional transition and a peaceful future for all La Poste employees.

Les syndicats n’ont jamais été complices de la mauvaise gouvernance passée. Au contraire, nous avons toujours dénoncé publiquement les recrutements clientélistes, les détournements et les dérives financières qui ont fragilisé La Poste.
Si nos alertes n’ont pas toujours été entendues, c’est parce que certains responsables, avec la bénédiction de l’ancien régime, ont fermé les yeux sur nos interpellations.
Aujourd’hui, lorsque nous demandons des solutions durables, ce n’est pas pour protéger des privilèges mais pour défendre des milliers de travailleurs et un patrimoine national. Les salaires que l’État paie ne sont pas des faveurs, mais la juste contrepartie d’un service public indispensable au pays.
Notre combat est clair : sauver La Poste, exiger la transparence, et accompagner les nouvelles autorités dans la mise en place de réformes structurelles. Critiquer les syndicats sans connaître leur rôle, c’est faire le jeu de ceux qui veulent enterrer cette institution.
