Saint-Louis : L’APR sonne la mobilisation et prépare la reconquête
The Alliance for the Republic (APR) took another step in its restructuring with the installation of its departmental Executive Secretariat this Sunday in Saint-Louis. The ceremony, marked by a strong turnout of party members, served as a platform for the party to reaffirm its commitment to remobilization and reorganization in preparation for the upcoming elections, with the ultimate goal of regaining power.
Led by MP and APR spokesperson Abdou Mbow, the national delegation delivered a clear message to party officials and activists in the old city: the time has come for unity, cohesion, and grassroots work. Mandated by party president Macky Sall, Abdou Mbow reiterated that this tour is part of a broader national reorganization of the APR, covering all 46 departments of the country, following the establishment of the National Executive Secretariat on November 6th.
Addressing party members, the MP first expressed President Macky Sall's gratitude for their commitment, loyalty, and fighting spirit. He then emphasized the need to strengthen fraternity and party discipline in order to enable the party to return to its grassroots level, listen to the people, and rebuild a winning momentum.
With this in mind, Abdou Mbow outlined the roadmap adopted by the party leadership. The first thirty days will be dedicated to finalizing the list of the departmental executive secretariat, before the installation, a month later, of the municipal executive secretariats in all the communes. This process aims to better structure the APR, rejuvenate its leadership, and broaden its base, particularly through increased engagement with allied parties.
"The objective is clear: to organize the party at the grassroots level and prepare for the 2027 elections, which are decisive mid-term elections," stressed the spokesperson for the APR, convinced that this dynamic will allow the party to find its way back to victory.
In Saint-Louis, the strong presence of young people and women certainly caught the delegation's attention. For Abdou Mbow, this massive commitment is a source of hope for the party's future in the department. He expressed particular satisfaction with the atmosphere that prevailed during the meeting, characterized by frank and calm exchanges and complete unity around local leaders.
By setting up its departmental executive secretariat in Saint-Louis, the APR is sending a strong signal: that of a party ready for battle, determined to reorganize, strengthen its base and actively prepare for the next electoral contests.

Pourquoi ces politiciens ne respectent pas les populations. C’est quand ils perdent le pouvoir qu’ils les écoutent mais au pouvoir ces populations ne les voyaient pas ils ne pouvaient pas aussi les joindre au téléphone. on doit revoir la façon de faire la politique au Sénégal et c’est ça la réalité.
