Sidy M. Coly, président du Collectif des Casamançais de Thiès à Cheikh Bara Ndiaye : "Vos propos contre le président Diomaye Faye dépassent les limites de l’acceptable"
To MP Cheikh Bara Ndiaye, the president of the Collective of Casamance natives from Thiès, Sidy Makhtar Coly, member of the Conference of Leaders of DiomayePrésident, took it upon himself to respond, because, he told him, "your recent remarks against the Head of State, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, exceed the limits of what is acceptable."
“Disrespect, invective, and gratuitous provocation can in no way replace the democratic debate that the Senegalese people demand,” stated Mr. Coly. He reminded him that “Senegal is not a stage or a marketplace where illusions, charms, and false spiritual advice are sold. The country is going through a crucial phase of moral and institutional reconstruction. It needs seriousness, truth, and responsibility—not sensationalist rhetoric designed to unsettle the public.”
The president of the Collective of Casamance natives from Thiès says he will "no longer tolerate such disrespectful attacks against the head of state."
He admits that "we can all criticize, propose, contradict, debate - that is the essence of democracy. But attacking the honor of the President of the Republic with malicious insinuations or inappropriate words is neither courageous, nor responsible, nor patriotic."
Sidy Makhtar Coly concludes by urging parliamentarians, if they wish to participate in "national political life, to do so with respect, truth, and dignity." He believes Senegal deserves better than excesses and disinformation. President Diomaye Faye embodies commitment, moral rigor, and a vision for the country. As such, he deserves the respect due to his office and his person.
