"Vieil illuminé", "petit politicien" : Waly Diouf Biodiang sort la sulfateuse contre Théodore Monteil
Waly Diouf Bodiang, Director General of the Port Authority of Dakar (PAD), reacted with rare virulence to the accusations made by politician Théodore Monteil. In a social media post, the PAD CEO called Monteil a "small-time politician with strong integrity" and accused him of telling two major lies about the port's management and himself.
The two lies denied
Waly Diouf Bodiang's first attack targets Théodore Monteil's claim that Malian lithium no longer transits through the Port of Dakar.
Mr. Bodiang categorically denied this information, stating that this ore has "never passed through Dakar." He emphasized a crucial geographical point: the exploitation of this mine, which would have begun in December 2024, is located 900 km from Abidjan, implying that the Ivorian corridor is logistically more relevant than the Senegalese one for this traffic.
The second denial concerns remarks of a much greater gravity, attributed to the Director General by Théodore Monteil. The politician allegedly claimed that Mr. Bodiang had asked "for people to be killed or dismembered."
Waly Diouf Bodiang firmly rejects these allegations, calling them false and challenging Théodore Monteil to provide proof.
A bitter and personal tone
Beyond the facts, the reaction of the Director General of the Port of Dakar stands out for its particularly acerbic and personal tone. Mr. Bodiang did not hesitate to address his detractor directly, exhorting him: "Theodore, stop acting smart or acting smart."
He concluded with a frontal attack on Monteil's intellectual abilities, stating that he would need "a second brain to reach the required level."
The CEO warned that his current response was simply a denial. He promised a follow-up that would befit the "errors of an old crank flirting with a rare form of schizophrenia" in a future speech, suggesting that this dispute is far from over.

Quelle honte ?
