Cancer : ce symptôme à surveiller qui n’apparait que la nuit
This symptom, which most often appears during the night, may seem harmless, and yet, if it recurs, it may indicate the presence of a serious illness, such as cancer.
The later a cancer is diagnosed, the lower the chances of recovery. Hence the importance of paying attention to certain bodily signals, even when they seem harmless, such as night sweats.
When they become intense and repeated, they can indeed be a cause for concern, knowing that we speak of excessive sweating when it is to the point of disrupting sleep and wetting sheets and pajamas, even if the room is not overheated.
Most often, these night sweats are associated with certain blood cancers such as leukemia or lymphoma, but also, more rarely, with cancers of the liver, pancreas or lung, due to the change in hormone levels, which causes a disruption of body temperature.
Therefore, if this symptom persists over time, it should not be ignored. At the slightest doubt, it is essential to speak to your doctor, especially if these episodes are accompanied by unusual fatigue, a cough, or unexplained weight loss.
