As of November 12, 2025, Senegal continues to face two simultaneous epidemics: Rift Valley Fever (RVF) and Mpox. The Ministry of Health is calling for heightened vigilance and community mobilization to curb their spread.

Rift Valley Fever: 443 confirmed cases, 31 deaths

Since the start of the outbreak, 443 cases of Rift Valley fever have been confirmed across the country, with 31 deaths and 391 recoveries. Seven new cases and one death were recorded on November 12.

Regional distribution of cases:

- Saint-Louis: 331 cases, mainly in the districts of Richard-Toll (151), Saint-Louis (79), Podor (53) and Dagana (36)

- Fatick: 24 cases, including Diofior (11), Fatick (5), Pété (12)

- Matam: 30 cases, with clusters in Thilogne (12), Ranérou (9), Matam (6)

- Louga: 20 cases, distributed between Linguère, Keur Momar Sarr, Sakal, Dahra and Coki

- Dakar: 10 cases, notably in Sangalkam (5), Keur Massar (4), Guédiawaye (1)

- Kaolack: 18 cases, concentrated in Kaolack (13), Nioro, Ndoffane, Guinguinéo

- Thiès: 2 cases

- Tambacounda: 4 cases in Kidira

- Kédougou: 2 cases

- Kaffrine: 2 cases in Birkelane

Mpox: 10 cases, no deaths

Since August 22, 2025, Senegal has recorded 8 confirmed and 2 probable cases of Mpox. Nine cases are located in the Dakar region and one in Ziguinchor. All patients have recovered. To date, 22 contacts are being monitored.

- Collaborate with health workers and community liaisons

- Report any suspicious symptoms
