Détournement de 93 millions F CFA destinés au Trésor public : Le chef-comptable d’un célèbre notaire arrêté par la DSC
EM Fadera, chief accountant for the renowned notary TMK, was arrested by the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC) for embezzlement of public funds. He is accused of stealing more than 93 million CFA francs intended for state coffers, according to Seneweb sources.
After collecting the money from the notary's clients, the suspect was responsible for paying the VAT into the Treasury. However, according to the DSC investigation, he systematically misappropriated the funds.
To deceive Mr. K.'s vigilance, Fadera produced false payment slips each time, thus giving the illusion that tax obligations were being met.
Betrayed by the tax authorities
The affair came to light when the tax authorities notified the notary that he had not made any payments for some time. The deception was thus discovered and the chief accountant arrested.
Investigations revealed that the suspect had even created a fictitious company to launder the embezzled money.
Following the investigation, EM Fadera was referred yesterday, Wednesday, to the Financial Judicial Pool. He is being prosecuted for forgery and use of forgery in private banking documents and public administrative documents, money laundering, and fraud involving public funds involving more than 93 million CFA francs.
