But he was only to return later, armed with scissors. "He struck Oumar Sylla Diallo violently on the right shoulder before leaving him lying in a pool of blood," reports Libération, which broke the news in its Monday edition. The victim was taken to Abass Ndao Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury.
According to the newspaper, the events took place in Medina, during the night of August 17-18. After his crime, the same source continues, the alleged murderer fled. Caught in Thiaroye, he confessed to investigators at the Medina police station, the daily reports.
