Yeumbeul-Sud : Un voleur de chaussures arrêté devant une mosquée en pleine prière
A rather unusual incident occurred in Yeumbeul-Sud. A 48-year-old man named Mr. Samb was brought before the Yeumbeul-Sud police, under the command of Lieutenant Sow, last Friday. He is accused of stealing shoes in front of a mosque.
According to Seneweb sources, the incident occurred last Wednesday during the Takusane prayer (5 p.m.) in front of the Ndiayène mosque. Taking advantage of the worshippers' prayers, the suspect stole a pair of shoes left outside the place of worship.
But his actions did not go unnoticed. Spotted by worshippers, Mr. Samb was caught red-handed, in the middle of prayer. He was subdued and taken to the Yeumbeul-Sud police station.
The day after his arrest, another person came forward to report that they had also been the victim of a shoe theft outside the same mosque, thus reinforcing the suspicions against the suspect.
When questioned by police, Mr. Samb admitted to being the perpetrator of the thefts committed in front of the place of worship, explaining his actions with a rather surprising justification: "I wanted to keep the shoes at the cemetery."
He was brought before the prosecutor's office for theft committed in a place of worship.

Un homme à qui on a volé ces chaussures devant la mosquée,crie,rendez moi mes chaussures sinon je ferais ce que j avais fait l année passée quand on m avait volé mes chaussures,les fidèles ont pris peur en pensant qu il s agit de pratiques mystiques et se sont mis à la recherche des chaussures,une fois trouvés et restitués,ils voulaient savoir qu est ce qu il a fait l année passée,il répondu,rentrer à la maison a pied nu
