Brésil–Sénégal - Ederson prévient : «Ce ne sera pas une partie de plaisir»
Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson expects a tough friendly match against Senegal on November 15th at London's Emirates Stadium. Having lost 4-2 in the previous encounter between the two sides, the Fenerbahçe goalkeeper (formerly of Manchester City) insists that this time the context is completely different.
"A lot has changed since that game. The logistics were different, some players were already on vacation and had to come back after only ten days, which wasn't easy," Ederson recalled.
"But today, the way of thinking and working has evolved. Without wanting to minimize the merit of the previous coach, with Carlo Ancelotti, it is a different vision, another approach to the role of coach," he adds.
For the Brazilian goalkeeper, the arrival of the Italian coach has instilled a new mindset within the group. "Seeing such a high-performing coach at the helm of the team is very motivating for the players. It instills a competitive spirit in us. We need to stick together," he said.
According to him, the intensity of recent training sessions clearly illustrates this new dynamic. "Over the last two days, I've seen how my teammates train; it's at the highest level," he remarks. "We can expect a great match against Senegal, who have an excellent team and excellent players. It won't be easy."
Brazil is counting on this match to confirm its resurgence after a period of instability and inconsistent results. Facing a confident Lions side, the challenge promises to be significant.
