League leaders AJEL of Rufisque solidified their first-place position after the 18th round of Ligue 1 matches with a 1-0 victory over Jaraaf. Behind them, US Gorée remained in contention after their win against Dakar Sacré-Cœur, while Sonacos of Diourbel suffered their third consecutive defeat and sank further down the table.

The 18th round of Ligue 1 matches took place this weekend. By defeating Jaraaf (1-0), AJEL of Rufisque consolidated their position at the top of the table. The Rufisque side (1st, 36 pts) now have a five-point lead over US Gorée (2nd, 31 pts), who won against Dakar Sacré-Cœur (1-0).

At the Djibril Diagne stadium in Déni Biram Ndao, the Rufisque department derby between Génération Foot (5th, 25 pts) and Teungueth FC (3rd, 28 pts) was won by the Academicians, 1-0.
